stuck in open loop - all sensors check out OK Hi guys. Need some help so I can pass emissions this week.
I have 95' LT1 installed in 88' Mazda RX7.
Recently I tried to pass emissions and it failed running rich. Hoocked up Freescan and Datamaster and realized I'm running in OPEN LOOP.
PCM will not go into closed loop. Have checked wiring and found one of PCM grounds disconnected. Fixed that problem and now my o2 sensors are bouncing up and down around 450mV, but PCM will still not go into closed loop. o2 heater circuits are working also.
I've replaced all major sensors not long ago. New: ECT (for PCM), IAT, TPS, ICM, H2OS, Knock Sensor, MSD Opti, Coil.
My MAF is descreened and is also working (but PCM wasn't tuned for it).
PCM closed loop operation are stock.
Anyone has any ideas what could it be?
Or maybe someone could tell me how to adjust open loop to pass emissions? CATS Tuner and adjust AFR to 14.6/14.7 for higher coolant temps? And force it to stay in open loop by raising closed loop temp to max?
