Default okay, i got a question and need some help

For starters im on a budget. I have 1500 but can save more.
Okay, i have a 1997 camaro ss, it needs paint bad (cuz the clear coat is peeling) and i can get it painted for 1500 dollars, but it has 150,000 miles on it and i need to get the motor rebuilt (i am pulling it and building it myself). So i dont kno what i should do first.

And for the motor build i want to have between 350-375 rwhp with no cam lope sound.

Not gonna happen with no cam lope unless you go with a hotcam and a quiet exhaust with really good flowing heads. Would you rather have a really good looking car on blocks, or a car that's running with peeling clearcoat?

The hotcam actually has some decent lope with its low LSA. You could just do a stock rebuild and with full boltons, ported heads and make that number easy.

Like I said, and a quiet exhaust.
Also, I don't know that I've ever seen as stock cam car push 350 to the wheels.

That's not going to happen for anywhere in the neighborhood of 1500 though. It will be a good bit more than that.
