LT1 stuck

I have a 95 LT1 that has been sitting for over a year. Today I tried to rotate the assembly and it will only rotate about 45 degrees. Someone said that the water pump could be stuck, any ideas?

Are you roating it over by hand? Dont see how the water pump can do that. Pull the plugs and try again if its out of the car.

+1 on pulling the plugs. That'll make it a ton easier to turn over by hand.

lt1 stuck

plugs are out, motor on stand, turning it over with a wrench on the balancer.

Why was it sitting? Blown head gasket? Maybe rust & gunk in the cylinder walls holding you up. Seems like you are going go have to tear it down.

might be too obvious but i tried to rotate my crank a week ago and freaked out when it would only turn a few inches. Then i realized the car was in gear
