Car misses..
Okay, story of my life.. I have a 1993 camaro z28 and it's been through different phases. sometimes it runs great, other times it doesnt. Im at that point again where it just wants to misfire. I got the car back today from my mechanic and he had it for a couple of days to take a look at it and see what's going on. He fixed a few things that were making my car run rich (soldered the map sensor wiring which was crimped, etc etc). Car runs much better but is missing. It vibrates while im driving, but at WOT it doesnt seem to vibrate, but it doesnt pull hard at all. Anyways, he concluded that it's oil getting to my plugs, causing it to miss. I guess that's possible. We changed the plugs about 2 weeks ago and the old ones were pretty bad (detonated, etc and some had a bit of oil on them). Well I pulled a few plugs the other day and saw oil around the thread of the plug, but not really on the electrode/ground electrode itself. What can this be?
What could be causing my car to miss, and if it is the oil, what could it be from? Valve stem seals? PCV valve gone bad? Piston rings (everything was rebuilt about 2 years ago)? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

MSD cap and rotor are 2 months old.. but maybe the optical sensor/disk could be fried.. that will be my last resort, but first ill try some free/cheap ones another member suggested, like ICM, coil, etc.. i hope i find the problem.. im running out of money lol

So I have this problem also. Mines a 95 Z. It has a brand new opti and cap and rotor... I boiled it down to a massive vaccum leak. I hooked a smoke machine on the T-body and the intake gaskets are leaking. BINGO!!! Try that... mine only misses under a load and doesnt pull hard because its missing.
