Default Quick question?

Do I need a aftermarket MAF sensor? Ads claim 10-15 hp gain. But if I get a tune, will they be compatable. I have also heard do not waste the money. I am planning to add all bolt ons right now, and eventially a 383 build built for a little spray.

Don't waste your money just get a custom tune. some of the programers will reprogram your pcm for about $50 after the inital one for future modifications. So the initial bolt on tune and then one change later on and you've still spent less than buying a MAF that will flow more than you need.

Don't waste your money, the stock MAF flows sufficiently. Spend your money elsewhere.

Ive always had good luck, good ets and MPH gains with aftermarket MAFs. If you have the cash and everything else it cant hurt. I also dont think it is nessasary that you need one to go fast but it sure helps. In my 97 I had one in there put in a hotcam and had ed wright do the tuning and never had a problem. My 00 with minor bolt ons and one went 12.80s at 108
