Default head porting

ok so i got my heads off because number 7 and 8 where blown on the head gaskets, so i got a machine shop who is doing the porting for me, hes charging me $200 for the initial work which consist of widning the runners and ports, bowl work, and 3 angel valve job. and said he could go deeper from their. is this a good price for whats being done, im thinking of throwing another 200 bucks towards them but i know they do excelent work with out killing your wallet.

Um same job is about a grand and up to whatever you want to spend from a place that specializes in lt1s. If he has never done LT1 heads before I wouldnt waste any money on it and take them to someone who does them right. My buddy did that with a company that wasnt familar with lt1s/ls1s spent 3grand and got 0 gains and we had it tuned 3 times to see if that was the prob. He was so pissed my stock heads and cam were much faster than his waste of money

Who is it? PM me if you like.

I only know of one b-body in the "low 10s" on LT1 heads. Could be more out there.
