when I had the original stock motor, and I did the 3" true dual X setup, I gained HP and TQ according to the dyno sheets. Just looked at my old sheets and it increased my HP/TQ in the lower RPM as well as higher RPM when I switched.

have you checked real good for exhaust leaks?

yeah the exhaust is all welded up to the header.

maybe you shouldn't have gotten 3". kinda overkill. sounds good, but you will lose some lower end torque from the bigger exhaust. i went to a 2.5 x-pipe and I felt a bit more torque, i was getting gear scratches out of my stock auto.

2.5" sounds a bit smoother as well. 3" starts to get a little raspy. but to each their own.
