Can the lt1 coil get hot and cause the engine to shut off until it cools down? My vehicle has stopped on me three times recently and would not start for 20-30mins. I check for spark from the coil and there is none, but after allowing it to sit for what seems like an eternity the car then starts and makes it home. Any suggestions?

im havin the same sort of problem, only when the motor warms up, it randomly stalls on me and wont start back up for alittle, alot of ppl are sayin icm gets hot on the drivers side head and messes up, cuz the icm controls the coil. im gonna change mine out tomorrow ill let u kno how it goes.

I'd say test BOTH the coil and the icm.
