Default Question about ceramic coated headers?

I have a brand new set of ceramic coated headers to be put on my car. They don't have the O2 sensor fittings on them. The question is would it be better to have the fittings installed on the headers or staniless y-pipe? The car is a 93 Camaro Z28. Also, what would happen if you weld on the ceramic?

They are Hooker LTs and a Mufflex Y-pipe. I bought them from a member on here about 4 months ago. Ok, after looking on Mufflex's webpage I'm going to have the bungs installed on it.
