Default RTV for intake manifold?

so i just want to get confirmation from someone on here that the blue "sensor safe" RTV is ok for sealing the intake.

I never tried the blue. i used the copper high temp RTV.

try this stuff called the "The right stuff".... My buddy turned me onto it, It is the **** but cost like $20 a can. Worked on my intake perfect

ya i heard about that "the right stuff" i thought i remember someone on here saying to use the sensor safe something about it will mess up o2's. maybe?

can you get "the right stuff" from orielys or napa?

I used the Blue and had no problems..I used it pretty much everywhere I had to on my LT1.

I would believe napa would have it.. Not to sure about oriley's we don;t have those here in VA

use the Right Stuff or Ultra Copper. Use a nice thick bead. There is no concern for ruining any sensors using RTV on the intake.

ended up picking up a can of "the right stuff" since i was on a parts run anyways. thanks for the suggestions guys.

A couple of years ago, the last time I did my intake gaskets, I picked up a tube of this stuff, as it's supposed to be the "kat's ***" for the intake manifold. Get everything ready to go, snip off the tip of the tube....NOTHING! The stuff is all set up!!

Take it back to the parts store, they apologize, give me another tube, but this time check the exp. date. before I leave. The second tube was NG also! I guess because of the price, not too many people buy the stuff, so it sits on the shelf for a while...
