I'm going to use the Edelbrock (already have it). Not sure if there are any horsepower gains to it.

What type of mods do you currently have...you may not need a new intake.

A ported LT1 intake is fine for the avg setup, and something like this can be done for the not so avg set up.

Edelbrock Vic-E, and our custom elbow to fit the LT1 throttle body.

And just how much does a set up like that go for?

Also What point in mods is an intake like that even justified on the the car. HP ratings etc.
Thanks

edelbrock makes the only production replacement intake manifold for the LT1s. That being said, there are barely if any gains, so you're almost better just pulling your intake, checking the seating surface for warpage and if alls okay, put it back on with good gaskets and a good amount of Silicone

A single plane conversion will run 12-2500+ depending on parts used.

I wouldn't suggest a single plane for a NA car making under 450 hp or so. Unless they are looking to improve high rpm power at the expense of low end torque.

A ported LT1 intake can support upwards of 500hp before it becomes a huge restriction on a non forced induction application.

To the OP's request If you are still on stock heads I would just replace the intake gaskets and insure you have the lifter valley sealed when you replace them. The key is dropping the intake straight down and not sliding it back and forth before bolting it down.
