Default What next????

Well, this weekend I put an oil pump in my Z28. Well, I get to work this morning and was oil dripping out of the inspection cover. I'm about ready to just yank the thing and build it. What do you guys think I should honestly go with. I want a little more performance, but I drive 80 miles round trip a day, so mileage is a HUGE concern. I am thinking CC503, hotcam, or maybe a mild custom grind. Lemme know what ya think. CC306 or GM847 is my dream build, but I know a kid with a 306 and he gets about 10 miles a gallon.

I've been getting about 14mpg in my car with beating the crap out of it. It's a 355 w/ 30lb injectors and GM847, in a 6 speed car with 4.10s. If the tune is right and you can keep your foot out of it for a while it shouldn't be TOO bad

Yeah, I saw ur vids Purple95z28 and your car sounds sick!!! I think I might go with the 306. I have stock 3.23's behind my auto. I have a 2200 stall (not the greatest but better than the 1200 stock one) and a built trans. My car only has 118K on the body and rear end, and about 12K on the trans. IMO the engine is the last thing i have to do for now. I really like the 847, but I don't care for how high it likes to rev, especially on stock heads. The CC306 will make plenty up at about 6500, which is where I most would like to set the shift points. Anyone got a CC306??? What kinda mileage do ya get???
