Default RWHP gain from LTs?

What is the average untuned gain to the wheels with LTs. I tried to search only found one thread and nobody really answered. I saw one dyno sheet I hope it was a mistake...said like 14rwhp........I hope that had something do to with the knock sensor retard. I was thinking at least 20...

I didn't have my bolt on car dyno'd, but I can assure you that even untuned, the car felt like a completely different car with the longtubes on. The SOTP gain was unbelievable on my car. I know you're looking for a solid number, but just trying to give you an idea of what to expect.

X1, I am in the same boat, I like the idea of mids for ground clearance but if the power increase to LT's is substantially more I'm going that route. I've heard 23 rwhp for mac mids.

Ground clearance is pretty good on the Pacesetters. I like them a lot. I have Jet Hots on my car but if I were to do it again I would get Pacesetters. The Jet Hots aren't bad but they could be better for what they cost.

well are you just talking LT's by themselves or a cold air intake to accommodate the extra exhaust flow and take full advantage of the mod?

I honestly do not know. I would imagine 20+ HP, but 14rwhp wouldn't surprise me. The SOTP feel is probably from torque.

You get bored with just LTs quickly, though. I have Hooker SuperComps and had them on since last year. What REALLY woke the car up was a tune and gears.

untuned i could completely believe way less than 20 HP gain. the power comes from not only more air moving through the engine but a proportionate amount of fuel added as well. 14 HP gain seems almost typical where as tuned i woul expecr nearly double that gain

Never took it to the dyno, but untuned, the difference is noticeable. It wasn't too much, and it depends on supporting mods. I did have a CAI, but I had the stock catback. Once I installed my tsp catback, I noticed gains again, pulling better from midrange to the top.

All in all, it's all gonna depend on your other mods. I doubt 20hp from headers alone, especially untuned.

How much will the tune normally be off from adding LT's & free flowing exhaust(doing TSP true duals) on an other wise stock car? enough to burn up o2's or run poorly im also doing a ported TB but might wait until after i have tunning capabilities first so i do jack up the AFR to bad.

I used to live within a couple hours of TSP and had them re tune me for every new set of mods. now i live in BFE las cruces, NM and will probably buy HPT and learn to do it myself since i dont know of any shops in new mexico or El Paso, TX area

i've always heard that whatever the manufacturer advertises as the Avg. HP gain, cut it in half. You have to figue in the loss throught all of the drive train..plus if the rating was FWHP or RWHP.

I am fixing to give pacesetter lts a try,a friend of mine had a 95 z stock with bolt ons, installed 1.6 rockers and lts ,30+ hp and about 11lbs,and no tune.He had a a4 and 3.23 and ran a 13.3 ,before was running like high 13s.I am going this route in the next few weeks and I will post my e.t improvement. The next step will be a tune and a stall,I want to get ready to scare some Challengers.

everyone always says the pacesetter LTs give good ground clearance, but mine SUCKS. could be because i have 130k on the car so the motor mounts could be sagging, but i have only about 2 inches of clearance from the collectors to the ground.

so you're saying my car should be putting down near 361whp? i have that EXACT setup. Im thinking less but i could be wrong. im untuned and just put a new clutch in because the old one couldnt handle the bolt on mods. we will see eventually.
