any experience with accel optis?

i know they are pretty cheap but what does everyone think about them? its come time for me to buy one i think and im on a tight budget. i would love to buy an msd, but i just cant afford it.

Don't waste your time. Just get a GM one. I tried the Accel and it came apart.

I've only heard bad things about the Accel piece.

really,
i bought one from summit and replaced for my cousins trans am
it runs fine, no misfire, nothing. in a 95 trans am with shorty headers,cai, and catback. car runs excellent ngk tr55 plugs, msd wires

perhaps the bad issues are related to installation error

really im worried about how long it will last. i hear auto parts store brands wont rev over 6k. since the cam install i rev higher than that

I also vote for the gm replacement. The msd is just way overpriced imo, no matteer how good it is, and i hear of a lot of problems out of many of the aftermarket ones.
