Default Speedometer problem..Need help.

My 1995 instrument speedometer and my Scanmaster (MPH) do not agree. It appeasrs that the speedometer is ~6 MPH higher at highway speeds.

I was thinking that maybe the sppedometer needle had slipped out of position but it appears to be in the same spot when you turn the key on that it has always been in. It points to what 0 MPH would be if "0" was on the instrument overlay.

Can someone tell me where their 94, 95, 96 speedometer needle points to when the turn the key to the on position?

Different tires or gears? They would all effect what speed your seeing. Would need a tune for what the sizes of those are changed.

I have a NON stock tune, but I have the 3.90's and the 275/40-17 factored in. I relly think the Scanmaster MPH is correct. This appears to be something wierd with the guage speedo.

Where does your needle sit when you turn the key on?
