97-02 Center Console Conversion
I did it to mine, got one from a 00 Formula. Only thing is, it has a hard plastic nipple that wont let the console sit exactly flush but dont cut that off. I did and it would pinch the cable that runs to the steering column and not give me back my key. Had to make a spacer, but that was my mistake. It's a direct swap. I wouldnt worry about color, the 01-02s had the ebony, the ones before were graphite. My steering wheel and the trim around the gauges are ebony, you can see the difference, on a console you wont notice it.

Only Problem Is gonna be My Traction Control button. Have to wire it up to new style button. I like 97-02 Console it has 4 cup holders. 2 for backseat and 1 for passenger that swings out and one in middle actually holds the drink. I seen Few Trans ams/camaros at Salvage yard. Think ls1 camaro has same one as firebirds.
I'm starting to convert my charcoal interior (97-99) to the ebony (00-02). I just put in an ebony center console and have my old upper center console from my car, if you want to buy it. Only thing is its cracked right below 2nd gear and the hole for the cigarette light is a little cracked too. Let me know if interested.

I'm wanting to change out my interior eventually to black (ebony?). I didn't know that the 98-02 dash and everything electronics-wise could plug right into the 93-97's spot. Are there any wiring issues for the instrument cluster or controls?
