I do prefer LT's and run them on my own car, but my point is I do not think it would be worth the money to switch now unless doing a killer H/C package or something.
shoot... my 5.0 Mustang with stock short, H/C/I & blower makes over 500 rwhp with unequal shorties.
Mids vs LT's isn't much difference gain wise..maybe 10 hp difference with LT'S
Mids will help you retain your end torque where if you go w/ LT's you will lose out on some low end torque but you will notice more HP up top at higher RPM's

Buddy has same set up as me mod for mod, he has LT's and I have mids..I have more torque and he has more hp. Talk with Lloyd Elliott if you want. Had this discussion with him a few months back and he will tell you the same.
