Exclamation A/C woes!!

well after 2 days of tinkering around and alot of curseing and busted knuckles...i finally got all of my a/c components into the car...it was a major PITA...but i eventually got it done. I tightened everything up this morning, made sure i had no leaks and headed off to my mechanic. I had him pull a vaccumm on the system to make sure there were no leaks. I waited for about 10 mins to assure it held a vaccumm. Then we proceded to fill her up with freon. Heres where we ran into some problems.... As we were filling the system with freon i was waiting to hear the compressor to kick on...and waited...and waited. It never kicked on. Ok, so i figured i didnt get the connector on well, or the low pressure switch wasnt on either. Checked both and were fine. So, more cursing insued.... I checked the wires to the compressor for proper ground and power...everything that i could think of to check was ok...if anybody has any tips or hints please let me know.

You need to pull a vacume for no less than 45 min. The vacume causes the moisture to boil and be sucked out.

Maybe the compressor or the clutch is bad?

Sorry I couldnt be of more help.

bypass everything and see if your compresser works if it dose get a wireing scermatic and just go from that. that how i did it in my buddys car turned out the car was wreaked befor and whoever fixed it bolted the groung wire in to bondo.

relays, wiring, fuses, manual turn on the compressor to see if it even work. if any computer calibrations have been done make sure no one has turned it off.

Any updates Bad tx? Get that sucker figured out yet?

Edit : Also, I just pulled my A/C out of my Firehawk at 65,000 miles.... If you are looking to buy a used compressor that works, I have one sitting here waiting to go (along with everything else...)
