So correct me if I'm wrong Stealth but I would just be getting a better sounding exhaust with the GMMG with no HP gains vs keeping my current set up? I guess what I'm trying to say is, I wouldn't be gaining any extra ponies with the GMMG set up over my Magnaflow right? I would think they both would deliver about the same amount of HP..

You won't gain anything from going to the gmmg from a magnaflow, magnaflow flows very well. I love my magnaflow I can't stand the LM systems. But I do agree that gmmg does sound pretty awesome but the cost is rediculous.

Yea there wont be any hp gains by swapping the Magnaflow out for the GMMG. After owning both, if I were to do it again I would get the Magnaflow and save the extra $400 or so. The GMMG sounded louder and a little better on the inside and while crusing but they sound about equally as loud on WOT. I actually prefer the tone of the Magnaflow at WOT a little better than the GMMG and prefer the tone of the GMMG while crusing a little better than the Magnaflow. If I were you I'd just keep the Magnaflow unless you got the money to spend for the GMMG or even go TD's and pick up a couple ponies especially when you have the heads and cam.

We just got done with my 94 Formula today. My original plan was to just go with Pasesetter Longtubes and call it a day. Once we got them all squared away with that (keep in mind I still have stock exhaust at this point), I noticed that the Longtubes didnt really fit so well with the stock exhaust. So it didnt take long to convince me to just go ahead and get the rest. Shortly after, I had a LM2 exhaust setup on there. I started it up, and it sounds sick. Its not toooo loud, but not quiet by any means. Its just right. I thought about being a little more obnoxious and going with the LM1, but I thought it over and came to the conclusion that the LM2 would be the best candidate for me. I drove it for about a 15 mile trip, and I am definately happy I chose the LM2.

I will post a video tommrow of what it sounds like. I have Pasesetter Longtubes with ORY, and SLP LM2 on my Formula now.

I've never been a fan of how the LM sounds. You should keep your magnaflow.

I've talked to a few people that had the Magnaflow exhaust system on their LT1 F-Bodies, and most of them said they didnt really like it, especially with headers. One guy described his T/A as sounding like "A boat underwater" (still trying to figure that out) and said he switched over to a Borla shortly after and loved it. It had pasesetter longtubes, ORY, and a magnaflow catback. I remember pulling up to a LT1 Z28 a few months ago (just before I bought my Formula) and I noticed it was a tad bit louder than stock. His windows were down and mine were too. Both of us were at a red light, he was in the turning lane going left, and I was just to the right of him. I looked over and said "Nice Z28... What kind of exhaust is that?" His response was "Thanks, Its a Magnaflow". Light turned green, and he waved. To be completely honest, I didnt think the sound was anything really special. It had a pretty nice exhaust note to it, but it was pretty quiet.

I'm trying to locate a camera to take a video of what mine sounds like (pasesetter LT's, ORY, and SLP LM2). I'll post the vid up whenever I can locate a camera.
