What cam for stock heads?
Cam
Hardened Pushrods
Springs
1.6 RR
Thanks guys
Might find bad cam bearings. Then you need much more work. I'm afraid to do a cam to find that problem.
Everybody that has a 503 cam is going to tell you not to get an 847.
Emissions a concern?
How high are you willing to rev it?
Stock short block?
Going to change your gears?
DD or Weekend Warrior?
What kind of idle?
My cam sticky will help you figure out what valvetrain you need. If you have a stock short block I would recommend looking at cams with a mid to high 220's intake duration or smaller, anything larger will want rpm's that will be lethal to the stock shortblock.

If you want to use that as a limit start looking low 220s duration or high 21x.
The 218 cam on AI's site is a nice little one, seen a cam only car with NOTHING else special run basicaly what a golen stroker was same day same track.

that is a dyno graph of a stock headed LT1 with a GM847. peak power is at 5800 rpm and looks like it wants to be shifted around 6400. I don't see it wanting to go to 6800 rpm? that car went 12.5 @ 112 with a 1.9 60', full weight with a driver who claims to be 400 lbs so it has the power to back up the dyno.
