Default will it store a code?

my 95 lt1 will ocassionally have the ses light come on. I drove 200 miles without a it coming on yesterday, and then today it came on on the way to work, but shut off again before i got there. I'm thinking of going to the dealership to get it scanned, but woulf hate to waste $30 if its not going to store the code. Thanks

It will store the code, unless you unplug the battery and reset the comp. Don't waste your money on the stealership and call around to AutoZone's or AdvanceAutoparts in your area for an OBDI scanner with OBDII plug (in your 95). Some have em' and some don't so just call before you head over there as they will do it for free.

Yep, even if they go away... They are still waiting to show their ugly faces

I believe codes are stored for 40-50 turns of the key

Thats what I have heard also, but I guess I am a lucky bastard and never have to go to autozone for scans...
