had a weird problem?!

Default had a weird problem?!

I was comming home from getting a pizza tonight, and as I go to get in my car.. I go to start it up, goes up to about 500rpm's, then it stalls out (its an auto). try again.. same thing. I give it some gas (about 1500rpm's), let off.. and it stalls. I got it to go back about a few feet so I could back out. Then I start it up again, quickly put it in drive, and kinda launched it to get it going.. Shortly after I come to an idle once again, and all is good.

What could this be? Its a stock internal, just bolt on car with a shift kit. It was almost acting like it had a big cam in it. I'm confused .

Its doing it again... I just went out to start it... and it keeps stalling out if you dont give it gas.

I'm clueless.. I changed the plugs about a week ago. Maybe they are already fouled out? I'm going to pull one tommrow too see. Anyone ever have something like this happen to them before?

I should also add in.. When I was driving it home (the first time), I noticed my oil pressure would go up and down.

Just thought I would throw that in there too.

Impatient are we?

TPS sensor is my guess, resulting in far too low voltage and giving it gas raises it to normal levels. Or possibly the IAC is stuck either all the way open, or closed.

Oil pressure I assume is related to the fact the motor was changing RPMs from really low to fairly high? If not, might just be like my problem, gauge or sensor going out. Mine will flicker around sometimes too, but I know my OP is good.

i dont know the name of the sensor (formula might of said it.) but the sensor concted to the intake elbow cold be messed up

Intake Air Temp (IAT). Close, to IAC (Idle Air Control), but far from similar (just to make the distinction).

I don't know how to check an IAT or IAC with a volt meter, but you can get the voltage off the TPS and report back with it and then we can tell you if it's too high or low.
