Default idle very high, help.

my idle is very high, my engine was ran through water a few weeks ago and it all got fixxered, but theres a couple things i need to replace and idk what they are..

my car starts up at 2500rpm..than goes back down to about 1500, which is still very high, and when i put it in drive it will idle at 900-1100....my car will basically drive itself to about 40. my car only runs good when i have the bottom two 02 sensors unplugged. if they are plugged in, it will run very rich. from what ive noticed, it seems like my car is getting too much oxygen...but idk. help me please.

thank you
Evan

It seems like it would throw codes. If you cant log it I would say something is wrong. Is the SES light on? It sounds like it could be a pcm problem. Especially if it got wet or do you mean submerged in water? That woudnt be good but if it got rained on I dont think that would be a big deal. There is a way to test to see if your pcm is bad. Turn the car on and let it idle. Gently yet firmly tap the pcm with a screwdriver if the car idle surges it usually means a bad pcm.

ill do that now.
but if not, what do you think is the next thing i should look at? it wasnn't submerged under water, but it did have water in it, and when i turned it upside down and shook it, a bit of water dripped out of it.

Checking the TPS voltage would be where I'd start.

Did you set the voltage on the tps or did you just bolt it on. If you didnt and you need to know how I can look in my manual let me know. TPS would cause it to idle like crap through.

IAT is in your intake lid right before the mass air meter.

It would be after the MAF headed towards the intake, its a small 2 post sensor on the left side of the rubber elbow.

Your problems sound TPS/IAC related.

Clean the IAC and see where that gets you.

Damn im sorry I sounded like an idiotttt that is on my car(ls1) sorry. But if you messed with the tps it very well could be it. Maybe you got a bad tps thats why checking the voltage is a good idea. Checking all of these is a good idea. They all tie into the idle. Here is the big question when did it start? right after you put on the tps or has in been doing this before?
