Default Motor dies at start up

Well I am having an issue that is starting to get worse. On start up the motor will rev up and die. It will crank and start, but won't stay running until after a few tries and reving the motor. Once I do that it runs great and stays running. Lately it seems to be happening more often.

I don't think it is the opti as I haven't even had my new MSD opti very long and plus it runs great once it is started. Before I start tearing things apart I wanted to get everyone's suggestion. I was thinking of just cleaning the MAF and if no luck check if the IAC is just dirty. Check engine light never comes on.

Anyone have this issue before or have a good guess?
Also before I clean the MAF, what do you use to clean yours?

I agree with the coil, but I don't think it is fuel related as it doesn't have any issue when i'm driving or even idling after it gets running.

I had the same problem. Change out #1 fuel injector and it should fix your problem.

Mine didnt either

Does the car stall when u come to a stop? then when u fire it back up do you have to apply some rpms to keep it going? If this sounds like your problem then as stated above swap out #1 injector

If I were in your shoes I'd duplicate the problem and then test fuel and spark. Once you have the problem isolated to one or the other, then start brainstorming. That would be a good start as opposed to just shooting in the dark.

No it never stalls or dies out once it is started. It runs smooth once it's going and I don't have to apply gas to keep it alive which is why I don't think it is any issue getting fuel.
