Default LONG TUBE NOOB X or Y

Just installed my new set of Pacesetter Long tubes on my 95 Z28. Now i am stuck in limbo. Dont know whether to go with a fabbed up x-pipe with bullet dumps or with the 3" Y-pipe through my original muffler to tail pipes. Can anyone share some benefits and/or dis advantages to either. P.s. my ride is sittin at a 2 inch drop but not worrried about clearance. thanks fellow LT ones.

It all depends on what you want. If your gonna run it through a stock catback you will be leaving some power on the table. Duals will sound awesome and be a little loud. A good catback vs duals will be about equal in power. My Y ground clearance sucks, but I'm running hookers.

You could also try an H-pipe, which is what i have on my 96 Z28. It sounds good, deep low tone and plenty of tourque as well. The Y-pipe is what everyone does, so if you want to sound different, X or H is your best bet

a Y pipe through your old exhaust if you want better ground clearance and for it to be quieter. or a dumped true duel through an X pipe if you want a loud rough and tough exhaust thatll flow better and be loud as all hell! and take away form your ground clearance abit. either is a good set up aslong as you have a good flowing muffler

my x pipe to bullets dumped at the rear really isn't loud until you start getting at 3800-4000 rpms...

IF it's going to be a driver, then run it traditionally with a cutout. true duals is going to eat up alot of ground clearance!

I vote no mufflers...LOL!!! Ran my car with a 2.5" x-pipe with no mufflers for a long time and I loved it. I removed the bullets because the drone was unbearable at times, after I ditched them the car sounded sick. Here's a vid...

I say do an X pipe, because you already have the longtubes. If you were going with shorties, I would say go with the cat back system. Plus a true dual on a LT1 sounds awesome. Skip the cats, get two mufflers. Then if you are thinking about going over the axel, be prepared, it is a little pricey.

you really don't lose a lot of ground clearance. mine tucks up surprisingly well. the only part that is sorta low are the turndowns, which is to be expected. you just have to tuck it up real good, which is definitely possible. without the turndowns, the ground clearance would probably be about maybe a 1/2" lower than a normal y pipe/catback. i would consider going out the back, but I think camaros look 10x better without the tips and dumped at the rear.

I disagree on losing the tips. 3 or 4" tips for the win (like truck tips). I just hate the set ups that have 2 on each side, it looks gay.
