Which cam to upgrade to...This one too small...
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...8&autoview=sku
the motor is now a 355 with the stock bottom end......just new crank and pistons...... I have 7.2 Chromemoly Manley Pushrods........Crane Cams Dual Spring Kit 10308-1..........Crane Gold 1.6RR.......and new lifters
I dont want to have to change anything else as far as th evalve train goes, but want something a lil bigger with more power.....The 2108 is a lil small and prob not the best cam option for th LT1 and I know that now...But I didnt know it then...
I have the valvetrain to support it and I also have the usual 3200 stall, CAI Intake, Longtubes, GMMG, new opti... etc...so all supporting mods are no prob
So what choice of cams do you guys think will work with my current setup so I will only need to swap the cam and not have to swap anything else....I just wanna buy a new cam and install it...
On the dyno it put down 308/320 tuned through the stall on a dynojet...
I dont really drive the car a ton but I dont wanna run the motor over about 6k as I dont wanna grenade anything....
If it were your car and you were gonna put in a new cam what would it be...Im trying to figure out my choices....Top end power isnt as important to me as is useable power under the band, since I dont push it all the way to the limit anyways, I dont wanna have to spin it past 6kish to make my power.....

The Edelbrock cam is not "too small" it is just a bad choice.
The full Edelbrock package makes less at the flywheel than a good setup does at the rear wheels.
I like the Advanced Induction cams, installed a couple with better than average results and wonderful long term reliability.
yeah were installing a 503 in kolts ta sometime this month. 503 should be very suitable for your motor. it drives very well and makes good low/mid range power. but.... a lloyd grind cam should do wonders for that 355.
My car put down 351rwhp and 357rwtq. I love the feel of the cam. It kicks hard down low and pulls strong to a bit over 6k. I wanted a lower end cam for the street since I DD my car. Eventually I will throw in a custom grind cam, but for now I'm enjoying the power...much better than the V6 that used to be in the car.
