Looks good. What works well to get the adhesive off the paint without causing any paint damage?

i used goo gone. came out great, i had just the back 1/4 on the driver side where you can barely see the clear coat line

then rubbing compound takes any/most dirt off and wax it after that

I've wanted to as well, but 2 things stop me: Some people have had it dig in and remove paint because it's just so old and almost became a piece of the paint (and heating it up may work, but could do just the same by softening the paint more than the double sided tape), and because that's basically a guard from other people's doors.

They look wonderful w/o that trim/molding!

I can't help but notice your fender looks odd compared to the rocker panel and door, like it's stuck out and down a bit. Not to mention it looks lighter, repainted?

Looks good I really want to do it to mine. But I'm not sure if I want a bunch of dings on my door. BTW my grill does that same thing, it sits a bit off. I always wondered if I was the only one.

I did mine too about a week ago. I love it, it looks so much cleaner... All I used was my finger to get the glue off then compound and wax

I used a soft plastic scrapper to get under it and pulled it on a hot day and didnt have any trouble. used my finger to rub the thicker glue spots left and the use goo gone.

The few people I've heard who did it, used either dental floss or low lb test fishing line. I'd rather use the latter, but then again with dental floss, that would break before you'd dig into paint or the like. (Just a tip for anyone else debating doing it)
