O.K. Que the dead horse but I can't find which wires need to go and which ones need to stay on a stock 96 wiring harness. I have the diagrams but I'd like to know if anyone has a list of what they've used that has worked, and what wires they've removed.

The engine & T56 tranny are going into a 69 Camaro.

I might have worded the question a little bit funny. What I'm looking for is what is necessary (which wires from the PCM) to make the LT1 run, and what wires should be removed. Thanks again.

shbox.com has wiring diagrams that will help. There are numerous other sites with information that would help, as well. Painless, among others, sells a harness that you could use. Your problem is a lot more complicated than could ever be resolved in a forum. You need to do a lot more searching.

I sent my harness to Speartech and they did a great job. Just tell them what you want left in the harness and they will return it with everything marked and ready to install.
