results with plugs out and compression tested!!!!!

also since we all think maybe a blown head gasket how bout using a block check that will tell u if you have a blown head gasket!

but the trashed cam idea sounds a bit more legit but we need to pinpoint this in every mechanical way before the engine tear down.

I still find it comical they include that, given the placement of it on our cars

Might as well fireproof a log you plan to put in the fireplace

Hey guys sorry about the wait, work has been getting in the way. The other day i had time to remove the valve cover and check the springs for number 1. The rocker was adjusted fine but the spring itself on the intake side was not moving near as much or as "snappy" as the others. It was however close but you can see a slight difference in travel and time in comparison to the others. Im leaning on a weak spring (have to order a tester) or a flat lobe on the cam.

While it's possible, I haven't heard of many of our cams going out as far as lobes go. I'd lean more towards springs, and if you by chance have 1.6 ratio rockers, then even more so. Our stock springs are only good up to stock lift @ 1.5 heh

Yeah, havent seen any of these cars eat cam lobes in awhile (but I have before, it does happen). Its more than likely adjusted improperly OR you have a weak spring..

I would still VERY MUCH like to see compression numbers though

Alright the compression numbers with all the plugs out are as follows:

1- 166
2- 167
3-168
4- 169
5- 167
6- 167
7- 168
8- 169

All seem fairly consistent but that 166 is kinda low but should still be enough to fire.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but proper compression on an LT1 is 170-190?
