universal wires for the optispark? do they fit?

universal wires for the optispark? do they fit? helping a buddy of mine, he just got some longtubes on his 96, it would be nice to reroute the wires over the top. can we just get some universal wires and cut/route them? does the optispark have terminals like an oldstyle HEI? what do you guys do to keep your plug wires off the headers?

Re: universal wires for the optispark? do they fit? the opti sparks terminals arent like those of an oldstyle HEI I dont believe. I first routed mine over the valvecovers and still burnt the nuber 6 and number 2 plug wire with the ASM headers. I now route them under the headers and hugging close to the block and come up from underneath. Havent burned one yet since ive done them that way. also, i buy my wires uncut, crimp the tips on them and then slide the boots on. this way, i can make them short or long depending on how i want to route them.
