I don't think 1.7s and a LE2 setup would be happy together as the lift rates would be more than the springs can handle.

More than any springs could handle??? Im not using behives Im going with the patriot golds.

Depending on your cam specs and the valve relief in your pistons you'd probably run out of piston to valve clearance.

im running steel NSA 1.65 RRs. zero problems no clearance issues, better all around

While doing my research on 1.7's I ran across an article where a Vette with the hotcam added 1.7's and picked up 25 rwhp. It could be possible because I picked up 10 rwhp switching from 1.6 Promag's to 1.7 Scorpions on the stock cam. I did dyno before, after and my best et went from 12.97 to 12.86.

I saw the same post about the vette. It wasnt 25rwhp. More like 12-15rwhp. But still it was a good gain, and it was on a hotcam so it could use more lift.

Nathan Plemon and it was 14 rwhp, sorry it was a while back when I read it.
But 14 hp is 14 hp and 10 hp is 10 hp.
