quick question about GM rockers

quick question about GM rockers Im talking about the ones that comes in LT4 hot cam package are they self-align? because a friend of mine are running them on edelbrock heads with guide plates and some of the push rods were touching the guides I thought those rocker arms are self-align please help
Yes, they are self aligning so you don't want to use guide plates. I'm pretty sure I didn't do any cutting on the wife's car when we had the Hot Cam engine in there. If you do cut, you only have to grind the bottom little piece that hangs out where the bolts go. The whole gusset can stay there but the little lip at the bottom can be ground off to clear. I'd try with no grinding first, though. The clearance issue will be with the trunion not the actual moving part of the rocker.
