Default LM1 or LM2?

Can someone tell me the difference between the two. I know that the loudmouth 1 is supposedly louder than the LM2. Also how can you tell between the two other than a part #? Are there any physical characteristic differences in them?

lm1 is an open hollow resonator with nothing inside it to dappen the noise. the lm2 has a perforated core with stainless steel packing to absorb some the harsh sound. i personally love the lm2! it sounds kick ***! i also love the 3.5" tips it comes with.

I have the lm1 and a friend has lm2's mine are a bit louder, about the same deep tone. I honestly don't see much difference in the two, just one is louder than the other. I don't think you can go wrong with either!

I had the LM1 with the stock manifolds and cat, never got to hear it with long tubes and no cats. But when I had it, sounded great and was so light compared to the heavy *** Borla.

my buddy has the lm1 but it is loud and i dont think it sounds as good when your driving as the lm2 but the power is definetaly there with both so its whether you prefer loud and hard to hear yourself think at night or nice sounding and not so bothering..either like i said they both have power.

The lm1's aren't bad when window's up, you can still hear it, but it's not an annoying drone or anything. I honestly wish mine were louder and I have mid length headers. (going to lt's soon) which may be too loud, but i really doubt it. If you're anything like me and like to hear the car and listen to radio when highway cruising, it's perfect. you can listen to exhaust or radio. or both. Good luck with whatever you decide, i'm sure you won't be disappointed with either.

I really wanted a Nice catback thats LOUD! My flowmaster that it came with when I got the car ain't cuttin it. I wanted a catback that would sound wicked as hell with the big cam I have. What I've heard from loudmouth the 1 and 2 is with a cam the car sounds absolutely INSANE! Its getting to where everyone around my house and my parents are hating when I run my cutout open so I want to get a catback that sounds good and loud but not as loud as an open cutout!

I'm not completely sure.. Its not that much.. If I had to guess, I would say its got 2.5-2.75in hole through the middle of it. I can measure one on monday for you if you would like (earliest I can get a hold of one).

Go with a Magnaflow or a GMMG
