lq1 and lq4 diff ??
im doing some research to build a lsx motor with twin or single turbo... in my 1967 nova
ive read alot of lq4 and lq9 threads ... i have a few questions that i could not find about the motors...
ok i read that the pre 2002 6.0 has a longer crank shaft which causes alot of problems and you dont want to run this motor ??? i dunno if its true or not???
the lq9 it comes with 9.4.1 c/r which is great for boost.. any way what kind of power will this stock longblock take???? 700rwhp??? and what year and what does the lq9 come out of ????
the lq4 has higher 10.1 c/r right???

The LQ4 is 9.4:1 comp, the LQ9 is 10.0:1 comp.
Personally I would get one of them blocks and Stroke it with forged internals, that way you can have something in there that's built. With that you can get some good Heads and pick what comp. ratio you want with a set of Pistons.
These Engine's come from a 1999-2006 1500HD, 2500HD Truck, or a Cadillac Escalade.
Never heard anything about the Crank Shafts..
