Default my 383 lt1 build... should be fun.

well about a month ago i threw a rod in the old lt1. nothin fancy, lt4 cammed, small stall and geared and all the boltons. ran like a mid 13... well i picked up a fully forged 383 short block, h-beams, srp forged pistons, forged crank with port and polished heads and intake, 58mm tb, 30# injectors, aero FPR, comp cams 306 cam, crane gold roller rockers, behive springs, hydra rev system, 3400 vigilante stall, new flex plate, mini torque starter, and alot more other goodies. well i started rippin out the old motor. so far its ready to pull besides the torque arm and driveshaft is still in, and the tranny and motor mounts are still bolted.

here are a few pics of misc. things. got the intake powdercoated and chromed. and the rest was stripped down to make sure it was good.

more pics to come of the car when i get them tomorrow. also bought a brand new set of pacesetter long tubes, crs elec water pump, march underdrives, some dirt track tires (freebee) and some areo race rims, edelbrock torque arm, edelbrock subframe connectors and more stuff i forgot about.

tell me what ya'll think. hope to have the motor fully out this weekend. after work ill be piecing together the new motor. should be a fun car, now im just worried about my stock 7.5. has 373's but it will be upgraded this winter. also after a new fuel pump i have a 200 shot going on it.

well i picked the motor with all the stuff in the picks up for 2300, so i cant complain. add a new oil pump (just for safe measure), new timing set, a full strip down and rebuild. cant wait to get this thing going.

also since im changing to long tubes i will be re-doing my exhaust with a true dual setup, and cant decide whith mufflers to go with. i had the flowmaster 70 series and they were garbage... thinking either magnaflow or the 40 series flows... anyone got anything better?

pro mags are light weight and a lot less wear on valvetrain parts...better design and imho the best rockers for a hyd roller lt1...

LOL... Those are aluminum rockers and are lighter than steal Pro Mags. Better design too. The oil port is aimed directly at the trunion instead of straight up. Makes for much less messy valve adjustment if running a hyd. roller cam. IMO the HiTechs are far superior to the Pro Mags if you want a steal rocker bascially for the same reason regarding the oil port on the Crane Golds.

Quick Reply: my 383 lt1 build... should be fun.
