Radiator Help
Radiator Help I have the oil cooler package on my SS and no one makes the radiator with this option. SLP told me to buy the regular Z28 radiator and mount a transmission cooler to my radiator and hook up the oil cooler from that. Does this sound like the best way to fix this problem or does anyone know some place or part # for the original radiator?
The stock "oil cooler" ran chilled antifreeze to a pad between the oil filter and the engine block. One hose goes to the radiator, the other to the water pump. You won't be able to convert this to a seperate cooler.

I think any radiator for these cars will have a pipe plug in a bung or a hose nipple at the correct location. Find a place that has a radiator in stock and take a look at it.
FWIW, I felt this hokey "oil cooler" setup sucked and eliminated it. I installed a proper sandwich adapter from Canton and a Earls cooler in front of the AC condensor.
