A4-M6 swap
damn, i didnt' even notice the keylock. I swapped my A4 over, then after totalling that body, swapped the power/drivetrain to a 6 speed car with no keys. I had my keys for the old car so instead of paying to get keys cut, I just swapped my A4 steering column in from the former car. (and i actually swapped my VATS module because I didn't want to bypass it)
I still have the column sitting at my dad's house. I'll have to go look at it, because I was about to junk it.

I guess you never stop to think about having the steering column changed. I was so taken back by which clutch to get and all the other stuff that I didn't even think of the column. I would like for my car to look as if it came from the factory with a 6 spd, but it doesn't have to be perfect. I know that their will alwasys be something not quite right or not held down with the right clip. I just don't want it to look like someone took a hacksaw to it. Also can anyone tell me what the two switches are for on the clutch pedal. For some reason I seem to have gone blank and can't remember. The car I took the pedals out of I kept the switches, connectors and wires to them so I would have a refrence, but I just can't seem to remember what their for and where they wire up at. Thanks
oh that spacer my bad...i had to get one new when i did my conversion too...i paid like 50 bucks at the gm dealership...thats the cheapest you prolly will find one

The black switch is the one for starting the car. The white one from the brake pedal is for lights and disengaging cruise control (there may be one switch for each action, but i'm not going to go check right now), and I'm pretty sure there's a white switch for the clutch pedal as well to disengage the cruise control. I didn't do the clutch cruise control switch at first, but I think I went back and did it. I'll have to crawl in there and check tmo.
^^There is actually 2 of them on the Brake Petal.. I don't know which one does what, but I can tell you that they are for the Cruise, Rear Lights, and the Torque Convertor Clutch. I think some of the wiring for the N/S Switch ran under there to if I remember right.
There is that black one on the Clutch for the N/S Switch, and the white one on the Clutch is to dis-engage the Cruise when you push it in as well.
I actually had to bypass the N/S Switch with my setup when I installed the LSX Engine cause for some reason it didn't want to start. Something was not working right with the wiring, I couldn't figure it out so I managed to bypass it.
And BTW.. Chris you're ghey..
