Default clutch ****, plus install questions

Ok so resurfaced SLP flywheel, modified pressure plate and clutch disc courtesy of Tampa clutch supply.

Now the questions! I guess it seems a pilot bushing is better than a pilot bearing? What should I be purchasing and where, advanced auto parts does not carry a pilot bushing. There are so many options on Summit Racing its making my head spin.

Clutch did come with a alignment tool, from what I understand I will have the clutch installed properly if the alignment tool will slip through the clutch disc and the pilot bushing? Never installed a clutch before, engine is out of the car, will this make it easier to install? Anything I should look out for when putting the motor back in the car??

I would use the bearing. JMO. And make sure you use locktight on the flywheel bolts and the Pressure plate bolts and torque them to spec. Thats one of the things on a car you cant really just guess at and hope it works you have to use the spec to ensure proper life and operation.

Never used bearing because of the horror stories. Bearing fails you got needles everywhere, bushing fails you have fine dust everywhere.... I usually just use a bronze bushing and never had a problem. I've been thinking about trying this fancy kevlar blah blah blah one that I believe zoom makes, you can find it on summit.

I've also thought about having one machined out of Derlin but I'm not sure of it's heat limits, without the heat factor derlin is a really good self lubricating composite material.

Yeah I heard about stories also. Bought a bushing, Autozone had them in stock. Looked at the back of my old motor, had a bushing in it, and I never had any issues there either.

Whats the best way to install the bushing? The motor that is going into the car came from a A4 car, so I guess I don't have the joy of removing one, just installing.
