Default Still Running Funny

Could clogged cats or bad o2 sensors be causing my car to still stutter? Car runs perfectly smooth and normal until I go wide open throttle or I'm sitting at a red light, its starts stutter and backfire/misfire. If I accelerate smooth until the pedal is to the floor the car will accelerate flawless.

clogged cats would be much harder to accelerate with, have you any stored codes?

Brand new dynaspark, plugs and wires, no arcing or burnt wires. It did throw a code, but when I parked the car and restarted it, the code was gone and the check engine light went off. The crank position sensor is new as well, that was the code it threw yesterday.

TPS sensor? Sounds like it's a fully open/fully closed problem?

I took it out again, and now there is a check engine light constantly on. I'll go check it tomorrow and see what it says this time. Do you think there could be any vacuum leaks that would cause this weird misfire/backfire/stutter?

check your MAF and your throttle blades for any gunk.

if u had a vacuum leak you would probably hear it. and it would be pretty shitty running.

another thing, like said before.. clogged cats normally limit the car A LOT. meaning u cant get on it, ever. lol

is there a way to clean the MAF or is it just as simple as cleaning off the screen in it? the throttle body and intake have a lot of build up inside of them. Should I seafoam the car or just hit it with some carb cleaner?

i would take off the TB and give it a good cleaning. also, there is some MAF cleaner at your parts store. or use a qtip and some rubbing alch very gently.

Brake cleaner works on MAF's, the electronic whatever cleaner doesn't do jack.

Brake cleaner works great on MAF sensor, and what you want to clean is the sensor not the screen unless its clogged. Dont touch the wires/sensor they are really fragile. Just spray it down.
