Default does my car have CAGS?

i have a 94 TA and i believe it has the CAGS system as i get locked out of second on occasion.. and it feels exaxtly how my buddys 96 Z28 felt when CAGS engaged... but the biggest difference is his car has a light the lights up when that happens and my car doesnt.. so my question is Does my car still have CAGS even without the light on the dash??

Depends when during 1994 it was built. Some early units got the M29 trans from the '93 models. Should be easy enough to look for the CAGS solenoid on the RHS of the trans when it's up in the air.

One would be the reverse lockout, its on the passenger side and farther back if I recall correctly.

so back to my question then.. i do have a T56.. but there is no light on the dash or even a spot for a light on the dash for C.A.G.S, so i do have it tho right? can i just unplug the solenoid on the drivers side and call it disabled? and will it set a MIL ?

There are two solenoids on the Drivers side, the one furthest back pointing forward is the Reverse Lockout, the one pointing down toward the ground is the CAGS Solenoid. You can unplug it without a problem. It might throw a light, but that's all it would do.

Here is a pic..
