Problem w/ new Pro 5.0

Default Problem w/ new Pro 5.0

I just finished installing my Pro 5.0 and I decided I'd take it for a quick spin to make sure everything was alright. Well, about a minute in a half into the ride, i started hearing a strange vibration coming from what sounded like inside the shifter. I could only hear it with the clutch engaged. I saw after this that there had been a warning that said tighten handle with 6mm ratchet whatever. However, the handle didn't feel loose, am I crazy and everything is fine or do I need to take my shifter off again and re tighten something?

The shifter WILL promote a lot more noise and vibration then the stock shifter because the stock shifter has rubber bushings in it to prevent the noise and vibration where the Pro 5.0 doesn't have the bushings.

Well, I knew there was going to be more noise but I was really worried that I had missed tightening something that I could no longer get at after I had installed everything. Turns out I was wrong and it was just the nuts vibrating on the stop bolts. Thanks anyways.

lol...yea. I had that same problem. You should also make sure you use some loctite on the bolts for the shifter bar. I had the lous short stick with the pro-50 and that bastard came loose twice before I stopped being lazy and put loctite on it.

I took my stop bolts out. My bolts that tighten the stick use to come loose but not anymore.

Put those stops bolts back in and properly adjust them. If you don't you WILL eventually bend the shift forks if you shift hard. The T56 has internal stops BUT they break down and let the shift fork travel further then intended; therefore, bending and your shifter will start jumping out of gear...all kinds of problems from there.
