can a SPEC clutch disc be installed backwards?
i dont feel like going into details, ive made other threads for that, but im wondering if a SPEC clutch disc (stage 2) can be isntallled backwards, and still work under normal driving conditions. after examing the stock disc, it can NOT be installed backwards bc the center of the disk will hit the flywheel, making it impossible for the pad to ever hit the flywheel and engage.
Ive looked at pics of the SPEC disc, and it seems to be the same way, i just need to know if anyone has had experience installing the SPEC disc the wrong way accidentally, and it still work under normal load, and when put under hard load, it slips. thanks in advance.

There is no clearance for the spring cage on the flywheel. I have never tried this myself but I don't even think you could get the plate to bolt to the flywheel with the disc in backwards. What is the issue you are having? Let me know and I will be happy to assist you. Thanks!

Hey Damian, It may be of interest to you that this clutch is 3 years old with at least 20K miles on it. It worked fine until the customer had to pull the car apart to repair some issues with his motor (he spun a rod bearing) and then after reinstallation it began to slip. I am talking with him about it and offering assistance via PM. Let me know if you have any further questions and I will be happy to assist you. Thanks!
