Default power loss? clutch slipage possible?

ok i dont know if it just me or what but my car feels like its slower. could this be from the clutch? it has 40000 on the stock clutch and i just put some new nittos on the back. i can hear the engine rev kinda like the rear tires are slipping however traction light doesnt come on. i should have around 440 hp at the flywheel so is that just too much power for a 40000 mile stock clutch? so if i get a new one i should feel better acceleration? thanks

mine does the same thing. i have the stock clutch with about 8,000k on it and when i get on it, especially from first to second the car rev kind of hangs, like its slipping, which the clutch is, its not holding between gears. Thats what a moser 12 bolt, nitto dr's, & cam/valvetrain does to the stock clutch! this is why i have a spec stage III sitting at home!

8,000k? Wow, that's a lotta miles on a stock clutch! How's the rest of the car holding up with 8 million miles on it?
