pressure plate surface question

pressure plate surface question ok so i just got my replacement ls7 pressure plate & clutch in, and on the face that touches the clutch disk, thers like... dents? little nicks in the metal all around the inside of it and some towards the middle of the surface area... this is going to cause a problem and i should send it back for another am i correct? lots of tiny little dents around the center..
