Picking a new clutch
I have a spec 4 clutch and it just slipped the other day on the dyno, on a nitrous pull. i have heard that the dyno is the first place you will notice a weak clutch. I dont have any complaints about my spec, other than i wish it would have lasted a little longer, but i think that had to do with driving a 4 on the street alot. i ran it for a year street and strip, i put 10k miles on it, and over 100 ~5k track dumps. The car will see the same or more track time this year also. I was thinking i was gonna go with a Spec 3+, but im unsure and i was thinking about also trying a level 4 monster, since they are running a sale on them. Im just unsure about trying something that has not yet been proven over and over, but i do like the idea of having a 12 month warranty. I guess i just want some more opinions, i have done some searches. Is there any other 10sec cars running the monster yet, im making about 550rwhp and close to 600tq, most of the reviews i have seen are cars making 300-400hp. i know people rave about the textrillia but i think thats to much to pay for a single disk if i wanted to spend that much i would get a twin for a touch more. Is the monster or any clutch rated at the flywheel or the wheels. I also may go to a bigger shot or heads so i dont want to be pushing to much to the level 4 for it to last.
