Default clutch problems need help asap

its a spec 3+ i baught it used from somebody first off it grabbs hard from a dig and a stop. but the pedal where it engages is at the very very top. also if i have it in 5th or any gear and im low in the rpms and puch it it kinda revs up and grabbs like its slipping for a second then it pulls and goes. also if im in say second gear at 40 which is like 3200 i punch it and it does the same thing revs up for a second and by the time im at 4 grand its pulling like a mother and it pulls all the way to 7 no problem its just down low. what could it be?

heres my dyno sheet you can see in the beginning of the pull thats where it happens the rev thing its all squigglie then it pulls all the way to 7 no problems.

Sounds like the slave cylinder is too close to the pressure plate. Did you measure to make sure that the slave wasn't bottomed out, therby pushing into the pressure plate fingers? If you used the spacer, pull it out. Measure while your in there. There's a good thread entitled "does my clutch need a shim," or something like that. It illustrates where & how to measure. It should still be on the first page of this section.

If the clutch is grabbing at the top of the pedal, I'd be more inclined to think clutch slippage. Ideally you want it in the middle. If it was grabbing near the top, it could be incorrectly shimmed meaning the slave is already pushing on the pressure plate significantly which is why the engagement is high and would also mean that if that is the case, then you aren't getting full clutch pressure meaning that it would slip under high load initially.

The problem has already been defined. The clutch is slipping. It slips @ the beginning due not having enough clamping force or engagement to resist the "break away" torque or inertia of the flywheel/pp assembly upon shifting into a gear. Once it does grab, it will continue to hold through the RPM because the force applied to the clutch is less than it had to overcome when first applied. It's either slipping becuase the slave cylinder is bottomed out, therby pre-loading the pp fingers or the clutch disk is worn or coverd in grease. In either case, the clutch is slipping & will continue to do so until the issue if corrected.

that's usually the case but I know what problem he is talking about as well. Did you do the master dril mod. If not I would start there. Also while you are there just make that thing adjustable. Will save you alot of headache later.

This is the inherent issue of buying used parts...sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. That being said, there has to be a reason for it? If you pull the unit check the disc thickness and the stack height of the assembly. What flywheel are you using? Was the flywheel resurfaced when the kit was installed? Let me know and we can go from there. Thanks!
