Default New clutch!

I just wanted to get some feedback of my new clutch, its a spec stage 2, the SS has basic bolt'on full exhaust system, pulley, gears...this should be able to hold up right? were thinking of installing sometime this week.

I read some pretty bad thing's about spec which is why there not even a chose for me.

I have that clutch and it only lasted 6,000 miles. I haven't pulled it yet so I don't know why it went out so fast.

Sorry for the noobe question, but when installing the the clutch do i have to bolt up the 3/16" shim that came with it?? what is its funtion? thanks in advance

most ppl that have problems with spec clutches dont break them in properly and or dont shim them causing premature failure.

Im confused as to why people ask for feedback after they purchased something. You should have done your homework before you laid the money down. An LS7 clutch kit would have probably been a better choice IMO with your mods.

I can't count the number of times I've seen someone post this about a Spec clutch. Its like its a common occurance.

Theres no way that many people either can't drive properly or abuse their car that badly. I think Spec clutches are just junk, period. No clutch should fail in 6K miles, unless its 6K miles of dragstrip abuse. Especially one thats a "Stage 2" and it supposed to be more capable of holding the power over a stock clutch.
