Default HP limits of t-56?

I'm fixing to do heads/cam and a bottle on my '98 z28, and the car is mainly a street car set-up for the twisties so it doesn't see a lot of hard launches etc. But, I am just curious how long the stock t-56 would hold up to the new power? I'm running a pro 5.0 shifter with the Lou's Short Stick, and I DO powershift, and it's VERY rare that I will miss a gear, but I am concerned about breaking something. Is it best just to run the stock tranny until something happens? Or, pull it out when having the motor work done and have it re-built, with better quality parts to handle the abuse? I figure N/A the car should put down close to 450rwhp from what I have seen, and then on the bottle the car should be knocking on 575+. (NX 150 wet Shot)I've known of guys to run many stock parts forever and not have problems, but I always seem to be the one with the "bad karma" who breaks things easily.

get the D&D cryo'd parts for piece of mind. But Harlan pusehed over 700 to the ground with his, and there are more and more high 9 /low 10 sec T56s all the time it seems like!

Why are you going to run nitrous if you have a car set up for the "twisties"?

I heard that the limit is like 450 crank, but it comes down to a matter of what clutch you have and the amount of mistakes you make with it(scraching, mis shifts and so on)

I want to run nitrous on the car "just in case". While I do like to take turns, and race on the highway etc., the car will see the track every once in awhile, even though I said I really don't care about dead stop racing. I'd like to have it, if I'm rolling down the road, and happen to run into a car that begins to pull me, I can always spray on them to pull back on them. I did the samem thing with my mustang...I ran it at the track like 3 times, and it had a full roadrace suspension with 17" wheels, and ran 11.90's N/A..and the motor was built for the bottle.

Not to mention, that after awhile the car N/A will start feeling slow, or there are those times when you just want to hit a backroad, or roll onto the access road of the highway in first, and pull through the gears....the bottle will help make that a little less "boring"
