Need some help This problem started when I was on road trip in my Camaro. Orlando to Pensacola. I stoppped to fill up the car and grab a bite to eat. When I came out to start the car the clutch pedal went about half way down with no effort at all. At that point is was saying WTF. So I pumped the pedal a few time and the pedal came back. Not a problem since then. This morning I get up to head to work and the pedal is weaker than normal but the car will start and drive fine no slipping, nothing out of the ordinary execpt weak. When I came to a stop I pumped the clutch back up and the pedal is fine. What is causing this problem? Is the slave going out? Fluid neds to be replaced from getting hot? It only has 40k mile on it, it is a GM one too. Some what new clutch too. less than 5k on it. Mods are mid tube headers, CAI, MSD and some other small bolt ons if that means anything at all.
Your best approach should be to be sure the feed line is no gaining too much heat from the headers. You will most likely have to insulate it. Flush any burnt fluid with new , bleed and see if that gets it. If not, you have an internal leak in the syatem. It could be the slave( most likely) or in the master. The master is easier to change ( slightly) because you don't need to remove the trans.
