Default rust on flywheel question..

if there is some rust (surface rust from sitting on the car w/o the transmission on) on the flywheel, shouldnt it just burn off/come off the first few uses of the clutch when i put the transmission back on?

(stupid question i know lol but thanks in advance )

just hit it with some brake clean and a scotch brite pad. before you put the clutch on, clean it good with brake clean and a soft towel.

circular motions usually work well, it has to be a non directional finish.

is this fine to install the clutch on? (the flywheel has less than 3k miles on it yet it looks like this what i get for being lazy i guess..

the little spots you see are raised up, not down into the flywheel, ive been scrubbing in circular motions w/ the scotch brite pad and some brake cleaner to no avail.. looks alot better than when i started.

Bronze wool might work better.
